       According to one idea, dark energy is a fifth and previously unknown type of fundamental force called quintessence, which fills the universe like a fluid.The evidence for dark energy is heavily dependent on the theory of general relativity, Dark energy, a repulsive force that's responsible for the accelerating expansion of our universe, was first measured in 1998.
           DARK MATTER 
                  In modern times, it was astronomer Fritz Zwicky, in the 1930s, who made the first observations of what we now call dark matter.Dark matter is also supposed to be five times more prevalent in the universe than the ordinary matter of atoms. However, the reality is that dark matter's existence has not yet been proved. Dark matter is still a hypothesis, albeit a rather well-supported one.Although we cannot see dark matter

 In the 1950s, scientists studying other galaxies expected gravity to cause the centers to rotate faster than the outer edges, based on the distribution of the objects inside of them.
